CBSE Re-Evaluation 2026: Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Verification of Issues and Answer Re-Evaluation

CBSE has released detailed guidelines for Class 12 students seeking verification of issues in their scanned answer sheets or requesting re-evaluation of answers. While the first stage, which involved obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books, has already concluded, the second stage of the post-result process is now underway.

Students who have received scanned copies of their answer books can now apply for:

  • Verification of discrepancies found in the scanned answer sheets.
  • Re-evaluation of specific answers if they are dissatisfied with the marking.

To apply, candidates must log in to the official CBSE portal using their credentials. After signing in, they can choose the service they wish to avail and select the relevant subject(s).

Under the verification process, students can report issues such as:

  • Missing pages in the answer book
  • Missing supplementary sheets
  • Missing maps or graphs
  • Blurred or unreadable pages
  • Receipt of another student’s answer book
  • Evaluation using the marking scheme of a different question paper set

Students may apply for one or multiple issues across one or more subjects for which they have obtained scanned answer sheets.

The online portal will guide candidates through each step of the application process. Before final submission, students should carefully review all selected issues and subjects to ensure no detail has been missed.

Once the application form is completed, candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway. The application will be considered successfully submitted only after the payment has been completed and confirmed.

CBSE has clarified that each student can submit only one application for verification. Therefore, candidates are advised to include all relevant subjects and issues in a single application before proceeding with payment.
